Semester 2 recap as a Social Work Student.

So my 2 months semester break will be over in one week😂 I was lazy to update my semester 2 recap and didn't bother to look at this blog because not many people use blog nowdays.

But!! when I look at the view count, theres 2 or 3 people that read my blog😍 (in september) It's not much but I'm happy to give a few insight to the future social work student (or to those who wants to know more about social work student!)

Getting ready

Oh, the next week Dr. Anthony was the one who teach us. We only use sign language in the class. But it was all online class. And the final class  is when he flew from KL to Ums to teach us face to face.

June

The highlights for this month is when the subject for Kaedah, Proses dan Teknik intervensi dalam Kerja Sosial have two aktiviti luar kelas which our Dr. organised. Students get to choose between going to hospital kanak-kanak if I'm not mistaken or go to Kota Belud for program santuni kanak-kanak.
So knowing me that likes to go far far away if have the chance, I choose to go to program no. 2.

16th: The day before the program, 10 students have to go Kota Belud first to prepare things in advance. We leave from FPP at 2 pm.

The 10 students.

We arrived at Kg. Marak Parak Kota Belud approximately 6pm.

Theres this one aunty said that this mountain is the second highest after mount Kinabalu?

Cute dog😍

Our Homestay

Dinner sponsored by Dr 😆

At night we practiced Zumba for morning exercises with the kids and overall briefing.

17th: The next morning, at 6 am we were on our way to Dewan

Morning walk

There's some miscommunication between Dr. and head of the village about the program but... it's all been sorted out.

Zumba by abang-abang sowok💪

The kids have coloring session

So focused

On the other side the parents attends awareness talk.

After the talk ended, the children was divided into groups and play games that was prepared. It was very happening. You can check @kelabkerjasosialums_official instagram to see the video montage!

The program was a success.

So, I remember after the event I was super duper tired. Just wanted to go home and sleep. But it was such a pleasant moment to meet new people and of course the children. I hope they will grow up to be a good person.

July

5th: Last Malaysian sign languange class.

Waiting for Dr to come.

The sign languange class has been a memorable and new experience for me. Because it opens you to a new kind of world you never knew exist. Can I do sign languange now? Probably the basic one only. I think I will forget it if I didn't practice.

8th: Karnival kokum. Theme back to school.

Good job!

After this, all that I can remember is that I was preparing for my exam.

31th: Done for semester 2 yeayy!

The end for year 1💅

I hope this will become a tradition to take picture after our last exam for that semester😂

So that's all for semester 2. I did not join that many activities as you can tell. I felt like I'm unmotivated this semester but I will definitely improve myself✊

I think when it's our final year is where we will do a lot of outfield work.

In my humble opinion, it doesn't matter what degree we study at university. The most important thing is when we can improve our communication skills, makes lot of new friend, broaden your horizon or just simply experience university life. Slowly but surely you will figure it out. I'm truly grateful for this opportunity my family gives me especially my parents.💗

RISE UP SOCIAL WORK!🌟
